This project involved the ground-up construction of a 10,000-square-foot metal storage building within an active electrical substation in Akron, Ohio. Work included new electrical service, underground plumbing, trench drains, and an overhead crane. The project presented significant challenges due to the tight site constraints and strict safety requirements of working within a live electrical substation. Additional difficulties included excavating 20 feet down to pour concrete foundations while maintaining substation operations. Despite these challenges, the project was successfully completed, providing a durable and functional storage facility within this critical infrastructure site.
